Welcome

Hello and welcome to Acres Of Fun Childminding, Widdrington, Northumberland, catering for children between the age of 0 & 8 years old. I am Jayne Muir, an Ofsted registered childminder with an enhanced CRB check.

I have been working in childcare since I qualified as an NNEB Nursery Nurse in 1989. I have worked as a live in nanny on The Isle of Mull in Scotland and a daily nanny in Penzance Cornwall and Ashington Northumberland.

I gave up nannying when my son was born and went on to run Widdrington & Ulgham Playgroup as their manager. During this time I also worked as a lunchtime supervisor for Grange View First School, Widdrington, and Créche Leader for Coquet Excellence Centre.

In 2002 I become a stay at home mum when my daughter was born. I attended various baby and toddler groups, parenting courses etc. In fact I signed up for anything that was going to improve both my daughters and my life and education.

As my daughter started school I went on to volunteer in both Grange View First School and Red Row First School, helping with Forest School activities, listening to children read and working with small groups of children.

In 2009 I decided to childmind to allow me to work and also spend time with my family. I have recently completed an ICP course, child protection training and completed a relevant First Aid course.
